Trigger Finger Treatment in Vellore

A finger that catches, clicks, or locks in a bent position and needs the other hand to straighten — the flexor tendon is snagging in its sheath.

Trigger finger is a thickening of the flexor tendon pulley (A1). It's most common in diabetics and post-menopausal women. Splinting plus targeted exercise resolves most cases without surgery.

Symptoms we look for

  • Catching or snapping when straightening
  • Tender bump in the palm at the base of the finger
  • Morning stiffness
  • Progressive locking

Benefits

  • Splinting early
  • Blood sugar control
  • Warmth before glides

Trade-offs

  • Forcing a locked finger open
  • Heavy gripping (tools, gym) during flare
  • Ignoring recurrent triggering
